Mother Nature’s Long Hot Flash
What’s up with the Nor Cal fires? They keep popping up right after another. Maybe a better use of all California’s water resources would be for all of Nor Cal car owners to get their cars washed immediately, all at once. Maybe, just maybe, Mother Nature could be spited right into an immediate down pour of the rain we missed out on in the spring and douse all those incessant fires ruining hundreds of people’s lives and wildlife environment.
Meanwhile, here are a few shots from last week’s eeriest sunset at Casa Wild Dingo. The shots were taken last Thursday just after or during the Felton fires in Santa Cruz Mountains.
Notice the sky is dark with haze, smoke and ash. And the sun setting just through the haze and shooting through onto one spot of our house. Armageddon anyone?
No comments on our landscaping, or lack there-of.
Next, turn the attention to the sky. Creepy. No photoshoping tools used in any of these shots!
That night, around 11 PM, Loki starts growling. Our bedroom windows face this view and were open. Ten seconds after his growling, that tree just fell, and took another tree with it. We woke up to a house layered in ashes.
Piece de Resistance. I’m sure its been said before, but I’ll write it anyway. Beauty can be found in loss.

Didn’t that scare the bee-jeezes out of you? I would’ve been running with my tail tucked between my legs.
We were on the motorcycle yesterday, in Yosemite. There was a fire nearby and the smoke was horrible….coughing and watery eyes. Scary stuff.
Glad the Dingo house is ok.

Oh my gosh… So much fear in the beauty of these pictures. It’s heart breaking, and many hearts are breaking. Had no idea the fire was so close to you. Thankful, thankful, you’re okay.
For those who want to keep tabs on the fire, Danny Sullivan of Search Engine Land put up a post to maps:

Maybe we need car washes + prayers, all at the same time!
