For the record (and this is for The Herd and a certain someone at The Herd Annex), Juno only counter-surfed once early on in living with us. It took one big “No!” to never have her attempt it again. Well, at least when I’m in the house.
Ruby – and Natasha – says we have heard that big no. Lots and lots and lots. There is hearing and then there is hearing.

We’ve never had a counter-surfing dog, that is, until R. There are so many statements that end with ‘except R’ about our Labs. It’s funny what a unique personality he is.
I don’t know if I can believe that she’s ever bad. Just look at the innocence oozing out of that face!:)

I never surf either. At least when Mom is watching. After I ate 8 cupcakes (cake, papers, frosting, and sprinkles), she is much better about putting food away. Oh, and that one time Kat and I licked all the frosting off the cake for her decorating class. But besides that, never.

Moo is a pro when it comes to counter surfing! She hears the big NO a lot, and immediately takes her paws down …EVERY time. Mom has super hearing, she can even tell if Miss Moo is counter surfing from the other room!
Now, I’m a good good good good good good boy. I never counter surf. Maybe I should be more like Moo?

Woo. I used to be a counter-surfer, too. I even helped myself to bananas off the top of the magic cold box. Hey! Mom was walking the redheads, so I just got a little snack for me and Stormy!

I only counter surfed once, and it was to get a piece of my chicken jerky that was left on the counter. Never did it again! Maybe I need some lessons?
