Why is it, whenever I give the dogs a bath and lay out about 187 old towels and blankets for them to roll around on for drying off, the Sibe always insists on going straight to my prized handwoven Turkish rug to finish her drying? Remember that time when Mr. Wild Dingo and I were in Turkey and he insisted he wasn't going to buy any rugs?  (If you haven't read it, you really must read it because it's probably one of  the best too-hilarious-to-be-true-but-really-is-true stories on this site. So go read it.)  Well, this is my favorite of those rugs.

"Obviously I like this rug too otherwise I wouldn't grace its presence with my royal jodhpurs."

"The yellow contrasts nicely with my black and white coat and brings out the amber in my eyes, don't  you think?"

"This has nothing to do with getting even with woo, Mom. Really. I just think a princess should dry her jodhpurs in Turkish spa style. Woo can't argue with that!"

  1. So she has good taste. I'm failing to see the problem here. Besides, rugs go On The Floor. People (and dogs) walk on them. And sleep on them. And eat bully sticks on them. That is the function of a rug. Even a nice rug. 😉

-Dr. Liz, who was totally spoiled in the Persian carpet department as a child (one of the hazards of growing up in a city that has a rug souq... 😉 )

  2. In your face, Mrs. Wild Dingo. That Juno is totally disrespecting you.

    P.S. did somebody say "drugs?"

  3. Well, she IS a princess:)

We want to thank you so very much for your kind words of comfort and friendship after our very sudden loss of Thunder. We are all still very sad, but the support and love from all of our friends from all over the world is helping to heal our broken hearts. We are sure that Thunder Dunder is now in a very happy place and also very thankful to have so many wonderful friends.
