Baked Berry Custard. Praise Martha Stewart for such an easy delight! Typically, baked desserts last a few days in our house. Not this bad boy. We polished almost all of it off in a day. - 050/365

It's back to business as usual here at Wild Dingo. Now that I'm back on the same Lyme treatment I was in December, I'm back to functioning almost normally. You wouldn't know by looking at me that I'm on some heavy medications for a serious illness. I still have plenty of symptoms but I can manage them, do my house chores and even bake. It still takes about 4 hours each morning to get all meds and supplements down. By the time I'm ready for a dog walk, it's noon or 1:00 and by the I'm back from a walk, I'm too tired to do much of anything but lay down and stare at the ceiling, not able to sleep of course, thanks to Lyme. But laying horizontal is enough rest for me that by 4:00, I can "begin" my day. And by that I mean, my thinking projects.

Our own walk of fame. Our terrace is going to be bitchin'! Thanks to that rockstar contractor! - 051/365

I decided to take on one more project in addition to my 365. It's a big project and let's just say, it takes all of the 2 hours of daily thinking time alloted to me from Lyme brain to work on it. I figure at this rate, I'll be able to share my project sometime in 2018.

We've also undertook a big landscape project this year and we had a few hiccups around the time of the blood clot scare, but it all worked out and we're back on track. We couldn't be more pleased. Above is the concrete that will be under the blue stone terrace and pergola. So while there isn't any paw prints that all the dog peeps complained about on social media, they wouldn't been seen anyway.  All of this is built for Juno, of course, who loves to hang out there in the afternoon, basking in the sun. The bluestone will be just the right temperature to enjoy afternoon naps for the Queen.

Queen of her castle! - 053/365

Speaking of the Queen, Juno has been a rock and totally good for a daily laughs. That girl can make me giggle like nobody's business and she just revels in it. I love her to pieces for being happy about making others happy. I know she faces pain every day herself from her hip dysplasia, and yet, she still finds laughter and happiness. She keeps me from not taking any of this too seriously.

Meanwhile, my IV treatment has allowed me to stick with a daily yoga practice for two weeks now. Some days I have a lovely practice, other days, its painful. Doing my practice every day really helps me check in with my body and understand what's working and what's not in terms of treatment. I know when I can't get on the mat at all, that the treatment is not working.

Flashback Friday: We hired this guy and a bunch of his buddies to mow our pasture last year. Sadly they are not available to work this year. Missing my spring goat shenanigans. - 054/365

So it's back to business as usual. I hope you all have a great weekend readers!

  1. I'm sad the goats aren't coming back lol. That picture of Loki helping you with yoga is my favorite!! I saw it on IG and loved it!! Has the PICC line healed up? Is there any clot risk anymore? I'm glad going back to the old medicine has you feeling a bit better. Sorry I'm behind on your blog again. I'll get caught up now. 🙂
