Breakfast of a Lyme Warrior - 117/365

I used to count how many miles I could ride a bike, run or hike. Now I count how many pills I can get down each day. Being an athlete and a yogi prepared me for this. Two years ago to this day, I took my first antibiotic and began treatment for Lyme disease with trepidation. This is the longest endurance event I’ve ever done. I’ve made huge gains, but I still have a long way to go. As hard as this is, I'm happy with the progress.

After today, I’ve been given a 3 week rest from IV medication. I feel like school’s been let out! What a gift! After 9 months of IVs, my body is thrashed and needs a break badly. Now the question is: what to do with all that time now that I’m not plugged into a ball and chain twice per day?

Laundry. Medical Bills. Laundry. Clean the oven. Laundry. Orange is the New Black. Laundry. That should fill up 3 weeks easily. Maybe I could take the dogs “off campus” for a good adventure.

I’m looking forward to my vacation! I’m so grateful to my Lyme disease Dream Team.
